WilkieMac & Penni Feather – Whangateau Folk CLub

Inspired by songs that deliver on both melody and lyrics, WilkieMac will take you on a journey around the globe and spanning the centuries. Their repertoire will have you singing along, laughing out loud, tapping your feet; it will tug at the heartstrings, draw you along the path of whimsy, cast light into a corner, and reframe a well-loved old favourite.

Penni Feather is known for her soulful vocals, for deeply inhabiting the songs she sings – and her irreverent stage presence. While she has performed in many genres of music, her solo sets are grounded in folk and blues, with her original songs leaning towards alt.country. In addition to having been a guest artist at several NZ folk festivals, recently she had a one-woman cabaret show in the Hamilton Arts Festival and performed at the inaugural Raglan Blues Festival.
