Jean Reid @ East Coast Folk Club

Originally from Scotland, Jean has been plying her craft around the folk clubs and festivals of Aotearoa for over 50 years. A performer with a rich and haunting voice, she accompanies herself mainly on guitar. Much of Jean’s material is from the British tradition, and she is also a fine songwriter. She has always enjoyed collaborating with other musicians, has been in many groups down the years, and is currently half of Celtic Ferret, a lively duo well-known in the folk scene and beyond.
