Alistair Brown @ Titirangi Folk Club (Cushion concert)

Titirangi Folk Club presents a cushion concert with Alistair Brown, a well travelled Scottish singer/Accordionist with a treasure-trove of memorable songs and stories to share, a at the home of Cathy Munro.

Alistair is a Scot who lives in the beautiful county of Cornwall, lucky fellow. He’s travelled far & wide both teaching and entertaining. Canada, USA, UK & Australia and of course dear ol’ NZ are no strangers to his concerts. Alistair has a rich deep voice, a warm engaging manner, and with a rich tapestry of songs, delivers big ballads, comic ditties, songs of struggles (usually unsuccessful) against temptation, odes to conviviality, to outrageously funny stories. All this accompanied on anglo concertina, button accordion and harmonica. With his colourful mix of songs and anecdotes, you can be forgiven for having a chuckle or two, or shedding a tear while enjoying his show.
