Originally from Scotland, Jean’s haunting voice is well known in the Aotearoa folk scene, where she has been playing and singing for over 50 years.
Accompanying herself mainly on guitar, she sings British trad., Americana, covers – anything she likes really – including her own material. Currently half of the lively duo Celtic Ferret, Jean has been affiliated with many groups over the years, and on July 5th she will be sharing her solo talent with us, as we celebrate her award-winning album “And Aye She Sings”.
