Jeff Davis @ The Barebones Acoustic Folk Club

As a respected collector and interpreter of American traditional music, Jeff Davis has travelled to meet “source singers” and has ploughed through countless folk archives along the way. Having played festivals in North America, including the Smithsonian Folklife Festival and Nova Scotia’s Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, he’s also toured England, Norway, Ireland and the Netherlands and has appeared at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., and also toured for the Smithsonian National Associates Program.
A rare gem, his performance might include ancient ballads, sea songs, minstrel ditties, rare fiddle tunes and more, all assembled from the music of loggers, farmers, sailors, and mountaineers. He’ll be playing the fiddle, several banjos, mandocello, and some pocket instruments.
