Welcome to Rimu Glade Studio – a tranquil music and drama studio set in the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges. For 25 years Rimu Glade has been an intimate creative haven for audiences and performers alike.

What to expect:

1.  RELAX:  Get comfortable, stretch out with your ears. Musical Sound Journey has crafted a chillout set, with new music featuring Turkish oud, ambient dreamscapes, and indigenous instruments from around the world.

2.  DANCE:  Matt and John like nothing better than to join you on the dance floor with luscious original dance tunes, merging beats with world flavours. Feel free to dance or relax, your choice.

Bring whatever refreshments you require.

Doors open 6.30pm. Try to arrive early to get parked and claim your seat.

Who is Musical Sound Journey?

Matt Reece is a long-time student of instruments from around the world, including overtone flutes, kalimba, ngoni (African harp), taonga puoro (traditional Māori instruments), didgeridoo, and percussion.

John Goudge has been a singer/songwriter, composer, and musical director for four decades. As part of Musical Sound Journey, he fuses sound effects, synthesizers, guitars, and voice with world music.
