Nicola Mitchell (Waikato Tainui, Maniapoto) blends folky country sounds with storytelling that captivates audiences across Aotearoa. Winner of the 2025 Country Music Honour for Songwriting with her song Wā/Time – also the first song in the finals in the history of the awards with reo Māori in it.
She is one-half of the Tūī and APRA Best Country Song-nominated duo, The Mitchell Twins, she also performs alongside her award-winning older sister, Jenny Mitchell, in both Aotearoa and Australia. Her warm, magnetic writing “swells and tugs at the heartstrings, stirring more than a tear or two.”
For this concert Nicola will be joined by a couple of local friends on guitar and violin, including Adam Ogle.
