Three original studio albums, Curious, Rogue Folk and A Passing of Seasons feature several high profile musicians. Multiple first place winners and finalists in APRA AMCOS awards, The Australian Celtic Awards and Blues & Roots Radio and songs from all three albums have made the Top 10 in The Australian Songwriters Association Awards. Their latest album ‘A Passing of Seasons’ has been awarded Australian Celtic Album of the Year.
Born in Scotland and raised in New Zealand, Jay grew up in a musical family immersed in traditional British folk music. For many years Jay has been a member of four-part family A-Capella group The PENMANS.
With Welsh heritage, Sadie’s love for singing is instinctive. A natural performer she has been involved in many music and theatre projects in several Australian states.
Originating in Brisbane Australia, Sadie & Jay’s distinctive sound has travelled throughout Australia, the UK and New Zealand. Their music streams on international folk and roots playlists around the world.
Sadie & Jay crossed the Ditch in the winter of 2020 & have been laying roots in the Waikato in the North Island of New Zealand. The pair have been creating a beautiful lakeside home with a vision for a songwriting and recording retreat as well as an intimate concert venue. Invited guests at Hamilton, Whare Flat, Wellington and Auckland Folk Festivals and venues throughout NZ, this duo has been welcomed whole-heartedly in Aotearoa.
