Next club night is Monday, 25 May with the Hobnail Trio from Wellington, bringing an energetic blend of bluegrass, Celtic, folk and rock’n’roll.
The Hobnail Trio is founding members Rob Joass (vocals, guitar and mandolin) and Jo Moir (vocals and violin) together with the multi talented Hamish Graham (vocals, guitar, baritone guitar, percussion). As the full 5 piece line-up of Hobnail has developed into a fuller sounding folk/rock band, Rob, Jo, and Hamish started the Hobnail Trio to continue performing in a more acoustic style, reworking arrangements of their well loved songs to bring forward their 3 part harmonies, and develop their instrumental interplay.
