Raynor\, Innes and Gavin will perform with Innes and Nigel’s son Harry Champion and other whānau.\nHarry is half of a duo with Hanna Wiskari who play tunes mainly from Scandinavia.Raynor guested at Titirangi in the early days with his bluegrass group Crystyallised Figmunchers String Band\, then with Paul Whinray\, and once solo.Innes is an occasional floor singer\, and plays whistle and sings in Irish music sessions.Gavin is a well known folk performer who started at Titirangi at the age of 13\, and hasn’t stopped since\, with many guest spots to his name\, and albums in 1993 and 2024.\nFloor singers first half.

DESCRIPTION:Music at Midday: Alan Stacey\nAlan Stacey’s repertoire is drawn from 6 decades of playing in England\, Ireland\, the Pacific Islands \, and New Zealand. His music is influenced by such diverse musicians as The Dubliners\, Fairport Convention\, Mississippi John Hurt\, Bob Dylan\, Joan Baez\, and more. \nAlan came to New Zealand from his native Leicestershire\, England in 1993 to join his friend and band associate Conor MacSwiney\, who had established a residency in Murphy’s Irish bar in Wellesley street\, Auckland. He played a five-string banjo\, guitar\, and also helped out on vocals. \nTogether\, they formed The Dogs Bollix band and later opened their own establishment called The Dogs Bollix Bar\, which they ran for ten years. Alan remained in Auckland and started up the Thirsty Dog Folk Club on K–Road\, which ran for 8 years. \nHe now play gigs at pubs \, the Auckland Irish Society\, Sunday markets\, and retirement villages. He also plays the melodeon for the Auckland Morris Dancer.

Super funny and charismatic\, he is also an extraordinarily talented and engaging guitarist. We have since spotted him playing everywhere from folk festivals to floating past on a truck in Auckland’s St Patrick’s Day parade (which turned out to be a very cute who’s who of the Auckland folk scene).\nAdam has played alongside Irish music heavyweights Sharon Shannon and Manus McGuire\, toured New Zealand and Australia with Rough Town\, and stepped into Glen Hansard’s shoes as the lead in an Auckland production of Once: The Musical.\nMarika Chia grew up in a large musical family\, began playing violin at four and travelled internationally with her family band from a young age. Her playing has a lively\, theatrical quality with a touch of old-world magic.\nTogether\, Adam and Marika make playful\, spirited music rooted in Irish and Scottish folk traditions\, weaving in soulful ballads\, gypsy jazz and flaming-hot fiddle tunes.
