She’s joined by Dave Khan! He’s the long-time lead guitarist for Marlon Williams and key side-man and producer for Reb Fountain. \nMilly and Dave have unbelievable chops and a huge repertoire of the best country songs you’ve never heard before. Khan also brings his exceptional fiddle sound. “The tone of Khan’s violin at Casita will be epic.” says Nick Atkinson “You’re so close to the action you’ll see little clouds of rosin burst from his strings as he bows his well travelled violin. Kev’s background farming in Sussex shaped his repertoire & style\, while Rosie was brought up in the Auckland folk scene. \nBoth now live nearer the head of the fish\, in Shannon (Kev) & Wellington (Rosie). Strong solo singers in their own right\, they also sing together in harmony. Songs of land & sea\, love & war\, beer & wine\, politics\, comedy\, work\, magic\, & sheep: hearty history sung the traditional way. \nRosie’s Dad Paul Whinray was a folk singer back in the days of his youth\, harmonising with Raynor Asher\, & later a world-renowned maker of Baroque flutes & recorders out of his workshop in the Bethells bush. With luck Paul will get up & sing a few songs too!

Their music has been played on National Radio\, bFM and EastFM. \nThe duo comprises of Al Baxter on vocals and guitar\, and Emily Allen on fiddle. Al writes and performs in both the Mollymawks and the band Hoop who host the Ministry of Folk in Mount Eden. Emily Allen plays with various ensembles and symphony orchestras. She studied violin in Oxford with the legendary violinist Kato Havas OBE. \nThe Mollymawks songs have themes of love\, relationships\, humour and politics – all set to enchanting melodies and lovely acoustic arrangements.

Raynor\, Innes and Gavin will perform with Innes and Nigel’s son Harry Champion and other whānau.\nHarry is half of a duo with Hanna Wiskari who play tunes mainly from Scandinavia.Raynor guested at Titirangi in the early days with his bluegrass group Crystyallised Figmunchers String Band\, then with Paul Whinray\, and once solo.Innes is an occasional floor singer\, and plays whistle and sings in Irish music sessions.Gavin is a well known folk performer who started at Titirangi at the age of 13\, and hasn’t stopped since\, with many guest spots to his name\, and albums in 1993 and 2024.\nFloor singers first half.
