Learn traditional Nordic songs and immerse yourself in the rich musical heritage of the region. The workshop will take place at Ockham Collective’s the NIX. \nAnna Fält’s specialities are different singing traditions from Finland and Sweden\, combining the bright Scandinavian and dark East-European tones. She is passionate about the human voice and is known for her innovative ways to use voice as an versatile instrument. All material is taught by ear and consist of simple little melodies with lots of possibilities for variation – everyone can join\, no matter the background! \nWhether you’re a seasoned singer or just starting out\, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to explore the world of Nordic folk music. Jon is recognised as a virtuoso bouzouki player\, tenor ukulele player\, drop D and DADGAD guitarist and an internationally acclaimed composer who has toured the globe for the last 25 years. His composition draws on elements of jazz\, gypsy\, funk\, arabic\, latino and Celtic styles. Jon is seen and heard in many different collaborations\, ranging from working with Indian classical musicians to Irish trad players and everything in between.
